MORPHINE SULFATE

Morphine is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Morphine long-acting tablets and capsules are only used by patients who are expected to need medication to relieve moderate to severe pain around-the-clock for longer than a few days. About This Data

Prescribing data from Medicare’s prescription drug benefit, known as Part D, was compiled and released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the federal agency that oversees the program. ProPublica combined that data with additional information released by CMS. The data for 2013 includes nearly 1.4 billion prescriptions written by 1.3 million doctors, nurses and other providers. This database lists about 410,000 of those providers who wrote 50 or more prescriptions for at least one drug that year.
