The Democratic Party

My daughter Zoe was born with a congenital heart defect that required her to have multiple open heart surgeries in the first few months of her life. By the time she was six months old, she had already reached over half of her lifetime insurance cap, which would have left us unable to pay for the continuing care and future surgeries required for Zoe to survive.

I can't tell you how relieved I was when Obamacare passed. I got a letter from our insurance company telling us that Zoe's lifetime cap had been removed. It meant my family wouldn't have to lose everything to keep my daughter alive.

And the Republicans want to take this away?

There is just so much on the line in this election. The best thing we can do right now is give President Obama and other Democrats the resources they need to win in 54 days.

Please chip in $X or more today. [url]

Mitt Romney and the Republicans say that if they win on November 6th, they'll repeal Obamacare on Day One. That means that millions of Americans -- including children like Zoe, who have already overcome insurmountable odds -- stand to lose the coverage they need to stay healthy.

The stakes are incredibly high, and incredibly personal. And I, for one, can't sit by while the Republicans threaten my daughter's health and my family's well-being -- and I hope you can't, either.

Donate $X or more today to protect Obamacare and help Democrats fight in these last weeks of their campaigns:

Mitt Romney's promise to repeal Obamacare is something my husband and I worry about literally every day. As the mother of a child with a pre-existing condition, I know just what is at stake.

Obamacare is saving her life. Zoe was born with a congenital heart defect she had her first open heart surgery when she was only 15 hours old, and her second a few months later. At just six months old, Zoe had reached half of her lifetime cap on her health insurance, which would have left us unable to pay for her care and future surgeries required for her to survive.

So the day that I received a letter from my insurance company telling me that, thanks to Obamacare, Zoe's lifetime cap had been removed was one of the most emotional of my life.

It's up to all of us to speak up for Obamacare and everything else at stake so if you can, I'd like to ask you to please donate $X or more to support President Obama and Democrats.

I'm supporting President Obama and Democrats 100 percent, and not just because the prospect of what would happen to my family if we lose is unthinkable. I know there are people who think the stakes aren't high in this election, or who think their donation won't make a difference. I know some of them, and I'm sure you do, too I wish each one could hear Zoe's story.

There's too much on the line for my family and for millions of Americans to sit this one out.

If there's anything I've learned from Zoe in her two short years of life and I've learned a lot , it's that you can make anything happen if you fight hard enough. I think I'm borrowing some of her courage and grit in the last few weeks of this election.

My daughter is a miracle, and I will do everything I can to fight for her and I know President Obama and other Democrats across the country are fighting with me. That's reason enough for me to do everything I can to help them win I'm in this for Zoe and hundreds of thousands of families like mine.

So please, if you can, chip in today to support President Obama and Democrats:

Thank you. It really warms my heart to know that Zoe has so many people like you who are willing to stand up for her.

Sincerely,

Stacey Lihn
