Mr. Stone began his career in 2004 when he entered the Air Force as a graduate of the University of Missouri. He has served in various roles and responsibilities as both a military officer, US Senate Staff member and a policy consultant in Washington, D.C. He has served as a space strategy planner and guidance strategist supporting the Joint Force Air Component Commander (JFACC), Pacific Air Forces as well as serving as Chief of Staff for the Space and Cyberspace Division at Headquarters Air Force-Office of International Affairs and Mission Director at the National Reconnaissance Operations Center. In his civilian career, he has served on the staffs of US Senators Jim Talent and Kit Bond, as Executive Director and Economic Development POC for the City of Ozark’s Chamber of Commerce, industrial base policy and future concepts analyst with the National Security Space Office, and before taking his position at DoD Executive Agent for Space Staff, he was a Strategic Integration Analyst supporting the National Guard Bureau’s ascendance to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Christopher Stone is a graduate of the USAF School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Prior to his acceptance into the program, Chris was Joint Plans Officer for the Strategic Plans and Initiatives Branch, Future Operations Directorate National Guard Bureau. Prior experience includes serving in the Pentagon as a Space Policy Analyst (Policy and Strategy Integration for Future Concepts, Industrial Base, Commercial Space and International Affairs issues) with the Principal DoD Space Advisor Staff. He is the recipient of the Joint Commendation Medal. three Air Force Commendation Medals, an Action Officer of the Quarter award (SAF/IA) for his work in international affairs and theater campaign strategy planning in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as a member of the 2009 Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 group.
