The War Department acquired a total of 20,146.24 acres for the subject site. The southern end of this site is approximately 30 miles northeast of Yuma, Arizona. The southern end of this site is approximately 30 miles northeast of Yuma, Arizona. All leases for 16,787.72 acres were terminated between 22 June 1946 and 21 August 1947. Total acres disposed of equals 20,146.24. Present uses of the property include residential, commercial, and grazing. Remaining DoD improvements include four buildings, one brick-lined underground tank, three concrete underground oil tanks, and various concrete slabs, bunkers, and footings. The four buildings are beneficially used as barns. This property is known or suspected to contain military munitions and explosives of concern (e.g., unexploded ordnance) and therefore may present an explosive hazard.
