Expansion of the electrical grid to 24 villages ,Hirat Province, Gozara, and Injil Districts from vic 41S MU 20000 99400 to 41S MU 45800 93200

Project Goals

Reason for Project: This project expands the power grid SE of Herat in Injil District to the benefit of 500,000 people. Electicity will open up new opportunities for economic development, extend the work day, create a market for electrical appliances that will help modernize the area, extend the work day and expose a larger proportion of the populace to electric media outlets.

 Desired Project Effects: Electricity to businesses and homes throughout the 24 villages and subvillages. Increased economic growth and expansion of the economy in sectors other than agriculture. Increased knoweldge by the public of current events and activities of the Isalmic Republic of Afghanistan through electric media.

 Measurable Effects: Increased expansion of economic growth in the area. Development of new businesses in the area outside the agricultural sector. Increased audience for radio and television in the area. Purchase and utilization of basic electronic appliances.
