Project Description

This fund will enable TF Professional through GIRoA to provide to the people of Afghanistan with various Humanitarian Assistance supplies. Purchases will primarily consist Humanitarian Assistance purchased locally on the economy.

Project Goals

Maintain trust and confidence with the people of Afghanistan. Continue to interact with the population and maintain positive relationships in an effort to win hearts and minds. Purchasing supplies locally will assist local businesses and economy. Comments: TF Professional currently has minimal HA supplies on-hand to execute Civil Military Operations. Winter is arriving very shortly and the availability of HA items is critical to our mission in Herat and Badghis.

Results

Success. Supplies distributed to the Afghans to sustain them through the winter. Hearts and minds won!

Updates

Dec 17 2009 09DEC2009, MSG Revell (PAY AGENT) contractor Abdul Karim delivered the HA supplies agreed on the contract to Camp Stone. On this day, $250,000.00 AFS, equals to $50,000 USD was paid to contractor. All items were accounted for and in conditions as agreed on Statement of Work and Contract. 

10DEC09, All items were prepared to be shipped to our main focus Bala Murghab Valley, Badghis Province. This is where the HA items are mostly needed; displaced villagers due to the recent fighting during Operation Hero Recovery. We are continuing to push HA items purchased to Bala Murghab IOT alleviate the sufferings of the displaced families.
