Conflict of Interest
Institutions must file significant disclosures to the National Institutes of Health if they determine financial relationships could affect the design, conduct or reporting of the NIH-funded research. The NIH provided us with their entire financial conflict of interest database, with filings from 2012 through 2019.

Family Transitions: Programs
Equity Interest - Non-publicly traded entity ( e.g., stock, stock option, or other ownership interest)
The funded research has been established to test issues concerning the implementation of the New Beginnings Program that relate to outcomes achieved by participants in the program. Because Family Transitions: Programs that Work trains providers to deliver the New Beginnings Program, knowledge gained from research through the grant regarding the facilitation of effective training may lead to additional providers being interested in delivering the New Beginnings Program, thus financially benefitting the company. Currently, there is no financial gain involved related to the grant. However, for transparency, the institution has determined that a management plan requiring disclosure in publications, to staff working on the project, the institutional review board, and human subjects participants is required.
Implementation of Evidence-Based Preventive Parenting Programs
Evidence Based Programs (EPBs) can prevent substance use, which is associated with economic costs that exceed $484 billion and more than 2 million American deaths each year. Implementation failure causes significant reductions in effect sizes and public health impact when interventions targeting substance abuse are translated to real-world settings. The proposed research has 3 aims with important public health implications for disseminating EBPs: 1) efficient methods to assess implementation, 2) the mechanisms by which multiple dimensions of implementation interrelate to influence program outcomes and 3) how implementation dimensions change across sessions and the effects of provider characteristics on these changes.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.
