Conflict of Interest
Institutions must file significant disclosures to the National Institutes of Health if they determine financial relationships could affect the design, conduct or reporting of the NIH-funded research. The NIH provided us with their entire financial conflict of interest database, with filings from 2012 through 2019.

Dr. Kelleher is a co-founder of and owns equity in iNeuro Therapeutics, a company pursuing drug screening and development efforts to identify positive modulators or activators of Presenilin-1. The research project studies the role of role of Presenilin-1 mutations in Alzheimer’s Disease. Research Mentoring in Neurology and Translational Research on Alzheimers Disease
Increasing the pipeline of young researchers studying neurologic disorders, and greater understanding of pathogenic mechanisms and phenotypes in Alzheimer's disease are major public health imperatives. This K24 application seeks to address these problems by expanding the PI's mentoring and research efforts to develop a department-wide program for collaborative interdisciplinary mentoring of fellows and junior faculty and to acquire new experimental approaches that will allow extension of recent findings in cell culture and mouse models systems to human patients. The protected time from clinical and administrative burdens afforded by the K24 award will be critical in realizing these important goals.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.
Fewer than 10% of records from the University of Florida and fewer than 1% of records from the University of Texas system were removed because they did not contain enough information.
