Institutions must file significant disclosures to the National Institutes of Health if they determine financial relationships could affect the design, conduct or reporting of the NIH-funded research. The NIH provided us with their entire financial conflict of interest database, with filings from 2012 through 2019.

Given the information provided by Professor Raphael, we believe that the SFI is an FCOI and requires a management plan. Not only is the SFI related but the SFI has the potential to affect the design conduct and reporting of his federally funded research. Additionally, one of the three grants he is transferring from Brown contains the research the led to the license that the company was built on. This research is also ongoing and creates additional conflict that should be managed.
Pathway and Network Integration of Cancer Genomics and Clinical Data
NARRATIVE We will create a Genome Data Analysis Center (GDAC) to analyze data from cancer genome sequencing projects. Our center will develop and apply novel computational approaches to identify biological pathways that are altered in cancer, suggesting new approaches for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
