This grant project could identify genes/gene products related to stress that could be useful to Corcept’s neurology drug development program involving glucocorticoid receptor-II antagonists.
Stress, Adrenal Steroids and the Brain
Depression and anxiety disorders caused by stress are a major health problem and major contributor to lost productivity and increasing health care costs, and they involve changes in brain circuitry. Elucidation of mechanisms of resilience of the brain to such stress can lead to better prevention and treatment.
