I sit on the collaborative mechanistic studies panel of the NIH TrialNet group. Our charge is to review candidate drugs for the prevention or reversal of T1D and understand the drug mechanism(s) of action. These activities are in line with my research activities within the UFDI which seek to understand the pathogenesis of T1D.
