We have a new presuit case that Mr. Heath would like for you to review, Margaret McGough, deceased vs Holy Cross Hospital et al. We represent the hospital and employed CT surgeon Irving David, MD and several perfusionists. Briefly, Dr. David???s impression of this 54 y.o at her initial office visit was mechanical complication of aortic graft and aneurysm of thoracic aorta. One week later, on 9/14/17, Dr. David performed a redo valve-sparing root replacement with reimplantation of the coronary arteries utilizing deep hypothermia and circulatory arrest. Post op she developed seizures, placed on CT stoke protocol and worked up. It was determined that she likely had an intraoperative cerebrovascular infarction during surgery and she expired on 9/20/17. Please let me know if you are available to review.
