Female Labor Force Participation and Child Outcomes
Project Narrative This project examines the relationship between women's employment and child outcomes, including health and education. It is designed to increase our understanding of, and by extension inform public policy and public health knowledge about, how the major global movement of women into the formal labor market is related to a range of child health outcomes. We focus on measures of child physical health (stunting, wasting, vaccinations, mortality, and receipt of medical care) and education, which is correlated with health outcomes in adulthood.
