I performed as a consulting early in this project to aid in the design and to define what my role may be in a more permanent sub-grant award. As a result, I worked more days than initially assumed as a consulting, though did not go over the generally accepted consulting days when combined with other outside activities, and my role on 7/1/2017 transitioned to $ sub-award to UTEP for my time for the remainder of the project.
See initial disclosure description - this was an initial personal consulting contract that turned into grant sub-ward to UTEP. My initial request for approval was for 5 days at $. This request was made before final agreement on daily rate, which was eventually agreed at $ a day. In addition, I worked 12 additional days beyond the initial 5 request before the grant subaward was secured. There are no elements in the project or consulting services that would constitute a conflict of interest. The amount of consulting did not violate the 8 hr per week rule for consultng

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.
