Coeditor with Michael Martone of the Touchstone Anthology of Contemporary Creative Nonfiction and the Scribner Anthology of Contemporary Short Fiction.
These anthologies have become some of the most popular in the U. S., and for this reason they continue to bring in royalties from work I did ten years ago. I do almost nothing now with these anthologies. They've paid for themselves many times over, and that is a combination of strong selections and unbelievable good luck. N/A I receive two royalty checks a year, one around September 1, the other around March 1. While the anthologies are related to my profession as a writer and anthologist, they are peripheral to the work I do at UTEP—except that they bring our Creative Writing Department continued respect.
