City of El Paso Department of Public Health, HIV Community Mobilization Group, LGBTQ Core Team

Listed Reason

HIV Community Mobilization group in collaboration with the City of El Paso Department of Public Health, UTEP School of Nursing, and various other organizations. This movement has created synergy in addressing HIV related issues in a comprehensive, collective approach. Through the HIV Community Mobilization Group – LGBTQ Core Team, I have collaborated with the Mfactor, UTEP Rainbow Miner Initiative, EPSCP, PFLAF, International AIDS Empowerment, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Office of Diversity Affairs, TTUHSC Children and Adolescent Gender Clinic and other community organizations. This movement has created synergy in addressing the gap in health and social services for the LGBTQ community. We collaborate with local entities to co-host LGBTQ Sensitivity Training to health care and social services providers in El Paso.

Additional Comments

We meet monthly at the City of El Paso Department of Public Health or other venues. My participation began July 25, 2013. On the contrary, my participation has led to collaboration opportunities for fellow UTEP faculty and students.

Sources: National Institutes of Health, public records requests filed at multiple public state universities

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.

Fewer than 10% of records from the University of Florida and fewer than 1% of records from the University of Texas system were removed because they did not contain enough information.

ProPublica obtained additional financial disclosures and conflict of interest forms that we have not yet digitized and added to the database. You can download those disclosures in the ProPublica Data Store.
