Watershed Idea Foundry
I have previously been approved to consult for CGS Embedded Technologies, and I believe CGS has now become Watershed Idea Foundry. I have been consulting for Brian Kieser and his various entities for several years. This particular entity develops medical implants (primarily spine implants) in consultation with medical doctors, engineers, and business individuals. The company has developed a concept called structural encoding where unique coding information is manufactured directly on spine implants. I am assisting the company with interacting with attorneys on its IP portfolio and working with engineers on the technical development of this concept. Although the spine implants do not use 3D printing, we are beginning to develop the concept to print these unique codes directly on 3D printed parts. The idea represents IP already secured by this company. There have also been talks about me obtaining some ownership of this company, but I do not have any ownership at this time.
My UTEP appointment has been fulfilled to the best of my ability at all times. I terminated my association with this entity in December 2017.
