Financial Disclosure

The University of Texas System provided all data on outside professional activity of faculty and staff from all campuses from 2016 to 2019. All university employees are required to disclose outside work or activities, which are reviewed for potential conflicts of interest and conflicts of commitment.

Additional Comments

I am seeking approval to begin part-time consulting during the academic year, and to use up to eight hours per week of University time to do so, per HOP 5-2011 Section VII. E. 2. ("During the academic term in which a faculty member holds a full-time appointment, the faculty member must attend to all their duties and responsibilities and meet the minimum academic workload requirements, but may be permitted to engage in an average of no more than 8 hours of all approved outside activity during University time (as defined above) each week, so long as the activity does not reasonably appear to create a conflict of interest, does not interfere with the faculty member’s University duties and responsibilities, and clearly contributes to the mission of the University or provides important elements of faculty professional development related to their University duties and responsibilities.") I can't really predict what the total compensation will be; this is just the best guess i can make.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.

Fewer than 10% of records from the University of Florida and fewer than 1% of records from the University of Texas system were removed because they did not contain enough information.

ProPublica obtained additional financial disclosures and conflict of interest forms that we have not yet digitized and added to the database. You can download those disclosures in the ProPublica Data Store.
