Med Coders Academy LLC
I TEACH AND HAVE TAUGHT MEDICAL CODING SINCE 2005 IN CALIFORNIA. I WILL TEACH IN THE STATE OF TEXAS AND TYLER. I TEACH AND CONSULT FOR MED CODERS ACADEMY SERVICES...EDUCATING STUDENTS ON CODING GUIDELINES AND THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY.
I TEACH CODING ON SATURDAYS ONLY. I HAVE CLASSES ONGOING IN LOS ANGELES BUT I HAVE INSTRUCTORS TO TEACH THAT CLASS. I WENT TO LA ON 3/19/16 TO DO THE FIRST CLASS THAT SATURDAY BUT OTHERWISE I'M NOT TEACHING IN LA. I WANT TO START TEACHING IN TYLER AROUND SEPTEMBER OF 2016. I TEACH ON SATURDAYS ONLY AND I AM NOT TEACHING AS OF YET IN TYLER. I HAVE ALWAYS TAUGHT BUT I NEEDED TO DISCLOSE IT AND THAT'S WHAT I'M DOING...DISCLOSING THIS INFORMATION BUT I SEE NO CONFLICT, JUST AN ADVANTAGE TO THE ORGANIZATION WITH THE SKILLSET OF EDUCATION. THIS IS A SATURDAY JOB - I WORK MONDAY - FRIDAY SO THERE IS NOT COMMITMENT CONFLICT. I HAVE NOT STARTED TEACHING IN TEXAS AS OF YET.

Tell us what you know about Alisa Shackelford's disclosure
We're still reporting about conflicts of interest. Is there something you'd like to tell us about this disclosure?
Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.
Fewer than 10% of records from the University of Florida and fewer than 1% of records from the University of Texas system were removed because they did not contain enough information.
ProPublica obtained additional financial disclosures and conflict of interest forms that we have not yet digitized and added to the database. You can download those disclosures in the ProPublica Data Store.
