Financial Disclosure

The University of Texas System provided all data on outside professional activity of faculty and staff from all campuses from 2016 to 2019. All university employees are required to disclose outside work or activities, which are reviewed for potential conflicts of interest and conflicts of commitment.

Abilities Expo

Listed Reason

Abilities Expo Ambassadors are members of the Community of people with disabilities who are spearheading the outreach effort for the Expo. They are also a great resource for any disability-related questions. These individuals may also meet in person or otherwise communicate with representatives of institutions that serve the disability community including non-profit groups, rehab institutions, independent living centers, local manufacturers, service providers and local associations to generate excitement and increase attendance at each event.

Additional Comments

This relationship was previously disclosed to my MDACC supervisor (and with consultation from Institutional Compliance) in 2011, prior to signing the contract. I left MD Anderson in 2014, and have recently returned to MD Anderson in March 2017. I am attaching a copy of the most recent contract signed in 2014 (while I was employed by Catholic Health Initiatives, a non-UT System institution). I am redisclosing this relationship because I see that my past disclosure is not reflected in the new UT System database. Please note that I have NOT yet received any payment this year. The Expo is held each August. This is an ongoing relationship so I have indicated an arbitrary end date of August 2020. I have received no compensation for this year yet. Please note that I have just returned to MD Anderson in March 2017.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.

Fewer than 10% of records from the University of Florida and fewer than 1% of records from the University of Texas system were removed because they did not contain enough information.

ProPublica obtained additional financial disclosures and conflict of interest forms that we have not yet digitized and added to the database. You can download those disclosures in the ProPublica Data Store.
