Conflict of Interest

A Mulit-Centered Prospective Study of Quality of Life in Adult Scoliosis
PROJECT NARRATIVE The impetus for this critical effort is the significant burden of disease posed by adult symptomatic lumbar scoliosis (ASLS). This disease constitutes a growing problem in light of our aging population and the high cost of surgical treatment (at least $80,000 in hospital costs alone). Our study will facilitate the development of evidence-based treatment guidelines, improve patient care, and optimize healthcare resource utilization.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.
