Yesterday, President Obama spoke to the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention to show his appreciation for those who have dutifully and courageously served in conflicts around the globe.

President Obama has worked tirelessly to uphold our nation's responsibility to veterans, wounded warriors, and their families. Thanks to his leadership, more veterans are finding good jobs, getting the health care and benefits they earned, and have the support they need to get an education.

With all that he has done for us, it's time to show President Obama that veterans and military families have his back in this election -- and we've put together a tool to help you do it. Will you take a moment to do your part by placing calls to veterans and servicemembers across America right now, and tell them why you support the President?

Our online call tool is easy to use and allows you to make calls from the comfort of your own home. We even provide you with a script and highlights of what the President has done -- for example, reforming and stabilizing funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs, expanding the Post-9/11 GI Bill, and challenging the private sector to hire veterans.

As vets and supporters of the military, we all have our own stories about why we support President Obama. Our ability to connect with fellow veterans and military families about the President's accomplishments can make a big impact this November if we get out there and spread the word.

Today, thousands of veterans and military family members will make calls to members of our community. With so much on the line this November, I hope you'll join them by making five or more calls today:
