Obama - Biden --
Have you ever gotten to do something so cool you're almost jealous of yourself?
Pretty sure this would count: On August 12th, just three weeks before the Democratic National Convention and 12 weeks before Election Day, President Obama will have a few friends over to mark his 51st birthday -- in the backyard of his Chicago home.
And you're invited.
Make a donation today of $X or whatever you can to be automatically entered for a chance to be there -- flight and hotel paid for.
Look, campaigns are hard work, both for the President and the millions of people like you who are building it on the ground. When you factor in the ridiculous amounts of money the Romney campaign and pro-Romney super PACs are raising, we're going to have to work even harder to win than we did in 2008.
Let's have some fun together before the final push to Election Day.

Rush Limbaugh
|
If I emailed you every time Rush Limbaugh said something nutty, I wouldn't be allowed on the internet anymore.
But Mitt Romney says he finds it "hard to disagree with Rush Limbaugh," so here's the latest direct quote from Rush:
"I think it can now be said, without equivocation -- without equivocation -- that this man hates this country. He is trying -- Barack Obama is trying -- to dismantle, brick by brick, the American dream."
Rush isn't some loose cannon -- he's apparently right in line with the Romney campaign's talking points.
This morning, top Romney surrogate and former Republican Governor of New Hampshire John Sununu called the White House "dumb," and, on an official Romney campaign conference call with reporters, even said: "I wish this president would learn how to be an American."
The only way to stop the disturbing hate campaign from the Romney team is to show them that decisions like this have a cost.

If I emailed you every time Rush Limbaugh said something nutty, I wouldn't be allowed on the internet anymore.
But you need to hear what he said about President Obama on his show yesterday -- it says a lot about the people we're up against in this election.
Direct quote from Mr. Limbaugh: "I think it can now be said, without equivocation -- without equivocation -- that this man hates this country. He is trying -- Barack Obama is trying -- to dismantle, brick by brick, the American dream."
News flash: Barack Obama -- son of a single mother and the first African-American president in U.S. history -- embodies the American dream as much as anyone. And in case Rush forgot, here's what President Obama has said about it: "As long as I live, I will never forget that in no other country on Earth is my story even possible."
Rush Limbaugh is someone no one should have to take seriously. But when upwards of 20 million people listen to his show every week, and Mitt Romney says he finds it "hard to disagree with Rush Limbaugh on topics," we can't let it go unaddressed.
Let's respond to Rush Limbaugh by winning this election, shall we? Donate $X or more today:

You didn't build that
|
Mitt [url]
President Obama recently said, "If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."
Comments like that are a slap in the face to the American Dream and reveal the President's naïve view that government, and not the hard work, talent, and initiative of people, is the center of society and the economy. Clearly, this President doesn't understand how our economy works.
Mitt Romney knows from experience that hard-working individuals create successful businesses. Americans have run out of patience -- donate today to send a message to President Obama that there is one clear choice this November.
Donate today and stand with Mitt.

So close
|
Today, the Senate nearly passed the DISCLOSE Act, which would force special interest groups to reveal their billionaire financiers.
But Republicans filibustered the vote twice, marking their 97th filibuster.
Republicans like Scott Brown will never stop going to bat for their special interest backers. Meaningful reform will only come if progressive champions like Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown win.
Today, we're launching the Disclose Fund—100% of the gifts will go to defeat Republicans shielding secretive special interest groups. Can you help us hit our 24-hour, $X goal with a $X contribution? [url]
Thanks for all you do, Guy Cecil
