Pretty darn good reasons

You know why I'm so excited to vote for President Obama one more time?

Because he cares about the things I care about: Fairness. Equal rights. Doing the right thing.

Because he's looking out for the average guy and gal, and I just love that.

And because five months ago, my wife, Lara, got to tell me that the President of the United States made history by standing up for our relationship and our family.

I think those are pretty darn good reasons to call yourself a woman for Obama -- but if you're looking for more, you should watch this video right now.

Over the last three and a half years, we've seen what can happen when we have someone in the White House who is fighting for us. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is history -- nobody has to hide who they love to serve this country. If my partner is in the hospital, I have visitation rights. And millions of Americans can make health care decisions based on what's best for us -- not politicians or our insurance companies.

We didn't have that security before President Obama took the oath of office. And I don't know about you, but I want to keep moving forward.

So watch that video -- or if you watched it the first time I asked, watch it again:

[url]

Then get out there and let your friends and family know why you're voting for President Obama, and why they should, too.

Making our voices heard

Here's something I can't imagine:

Having to tell my daughter that she may not have the same opportunities as her brother because this country elected Mitt Romney as president.

But that's what's on the line in this election. It seems ridiculous to me that we're even having this discussion in 2012, but here we are: We risk progress on equal pay for equal work. We're looking at cutbacks in childcare programs and Head Start programs. We'll lose access to affordable health care and additional funding for higher education.

If we don't step up and make our voices heard, we'll pay the price after Election Day.

Women can have an enormous impact. Take a look at this video to see what I'm talking about -- then pass it along to your friends:

[url]

I really am so proud of President Obama. I believe that he has made important changes and he's moving the country in the right direction, but he needs more time -- he needs four more years.

We can help him win this November, but we have to vote. We have to show up, and we have to bring our friends, our moms, our sisters, and our kids to the polls with us. With only 36 days left, we're running out of time.

That's why I'm doing whatever I can to help spread the word. The future for me and my kids deserves nothing less.

See more about how your voice can make a difference, then share this video with your friends and family:

I suppose you can't plan everything

Tomorrow my daughter Michelle will celebrate 20 years of marriage to Barack.

I am just so proud of them.

I know how much they appreciate the support you've given them through the years, so I'm hoping you'll join me in wishing them a happy anniversary.

Will you add your name to an anniversary card for Barack and Michelle?

[url]

Almost every year on October 3rd, I watch the girls while Michelle and Barack go out to celebrate.

This time, it's a little different -- they'll be together, but it will be at the first presidential debate, and the girls and I will be watching from home.

Thanks for all you do for Michelle and Barack.

Let's wish them a happy anniversary:

My friends Barack and Michelle Obama will have been married 20 years exactly this Wednesday.

That's also the day that Barack will face off with Mitt Romney for the very first presidential debate of this election.

I suppose you can't plan everything -- even when you're president of the United States.

But there's something we can all do to help send them off into the last month of this election feeling good.

Add your name and well-wishes to a 20th anniversary card for Barack and Michelle:

[url]

This race will be close until the very end, and Wednesday will be an important day for the campaign.

But let's take a moment to show Barack and Michelle that we wish them well in life, not just in politics.

Add your name to the card today:

[url]

Then, let's dig in and get ready for the next 35 days.

Tomorrow, my daughter Michelle will celebrate 20 years of marriage to Barack.

If you're lucky enough to see your children find love, happiness, and have children of their own, you'll know there's really nothing better.

I am so proud of them -- and I hope you are, too.

Will you add your name to an anniversary card for Barack and Michelle?

Almost every year on October 3rd, I watch the girls while Michelle and Barack go out to celebrate.

It's a big night, but I know Barack will do just fine knowing that Michelle and his girls -- and all of you -- are pulling for him.

Thanks for all you do to support Barack and Michelle.

If you'd like, join me in wishing them a happy anniversary:

The choice we face

Never in my lifetime has my vote -- and your vote -- been more powerful than it is this year.

You and I have the choice between President Obama, who signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act as his very first bill, and Mitt Romney, who can't even say whether he would have signed it into law.

We have the choice between President Obama, who believes women should be able to make our own decisions about our health care, and Mitt Romney, whose party platform -- which was written at the direction of his campaign -- includes a plank supporting a constitutional amendment to ban abortion, even in cases of rape or incest. He would turn women's health decisions over to our bosses, and let them deny employees access to contraception.

And we have the choice between someone who is working to make sure women can afford health care for ourselves and our families and someone who has promised to repeal the Affordable Care Act on Day One.

Any one of these basic facts would be reason enough to vote -- and there are dozens more.

The truth is that Mitt Romney is the candidate representing the backlash against all the social justice and environmental gains that we've made. The question is only this: Will the majority vote? Or will too many fall for the propaganda that our voices don't matter?

Take a look at this video to hear from a few of the women who are standing with President Obama this November -- then share it with your friends and family.

You and I hold the key to this election.

Whether we want to control our own bodies, or we want equal respect and pay for equal work, one thing has always been true: Change isn't about party labels, and it doesn't happen from the top down. Like a tree, real and lasting change grows from the ground up.

So watch this video, then pass it on. It's up to us to vote for our own dignity, our own rights, and our own future:

[url]

We are half this country. Every issue in this election is a women's issue. Our country and our future depend on you and me.

Gloria

Fast and Furious

Romney-Ryan Friend,

It's time for Attorney General Holder to step aside.

He's misled Congress, and entirely botched the investigation of the Operation Fast and Furious debacle yet he still leads our nation's Justice Department.

It's just another example of the Obama Administration's transparent hypocrisy that despite the tragic and very human toll of this scandal, Attorney General Holder refuses to resign and President Obama refuses to remove him.

It's up to the American people to replace both of them on November 6. Let's call it "The Clear Choice."

Donate now to vote Barack Obama and Attorney General Holder out of office on Election Day so that Mitt Romney and I can restore justice to the Justice Department.

Thank you,

Paul Ryan

$4,000 in Middle-Class Tax Increases

The Cost Of Obama's Debt: $X in Middle-Class Tax Increases

To view online, click here: [url] [url]

Pierce Scranton

A new, nonpartisan [url] study has just examined what would be required from taxpayers just to continue making interest payments on the increased debt President Obama is responsible for and has proposed. The study concluded that the debt President Obama is responsible for and has proposed amounts to a $X tax increase each year for a middle class family. Here's how it breaks down. The cost of servicing the debt that has already accumulated under President Obama would require $X in additional taxes from a middle-class family each year. The cost of the debt he's proposed to add over the next decade would require an additional $X in taxes each year.

This study isn't just piling the burden onto the middle class either. High-income households would pay almost 25 times that amount each year. But the pain would also have to be spread to lower-income households. A family making between $X and $X would see their taxes increase by $X each year. A family making between $X and $X would see their taxes increase by more than $X each year. This tax increase far exceeds the amount the President claims to have provided in temporary tax relief, and keep in mind that this projection uses the President's own budget, so it already assumes that all of the President's job-destroying tax increases have become law.

Despite promising to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term, President Obama has presided over four consecutive years of trillion-dollar deficits. At the end of September, President Obama had added more than $X.4 trillion to the debt. You can see for yourself right [url] here . If that weren't enough, the President's [url] own budget proposes adding another $X.2 trillion over the next decade. Unless the President plans for the country to default on its debt, that's borrowed money that we have to pay back. Based on the current population, our nation's $X trillion debt adds up to more than $X in taxes for every man, woman and child in the country.

How does the President propose to deal with our fiscal crisis? That's a good question. The short answer is that he doesn't have a plan. He pretends that he's only responsible for 10 percent of the increase a claim that has already been discredited [url] here , and [url] here . His budget was rejected unanimously by Congress—414-0 in the House and 99-0 in the Senate. That's a case study in failed leadership, not a plan for tackling one of the most pressing issues facing the country. Not a single Democrat in Congress supported his budget. And for good reason.

Under the President's budget, the national debt would increase to $X trillion at the end of a second Obama Administration, or 106% of GDP. To put that number into perspective, [url] Spain's debt-to-GDP ratio will hit 90.5% by the end of 2013. Under the President's budget, spending actually gets larger as a share of the economy at the end of ten years going from 22.3% of GDP in 2016 to 22.6% of GDP in 2022. At the same time, the President's stated policy is to do nothing to address the solvency of entitlement programs like Social Security that will only make matters worse.

It's time for a new plan and Governor Romney has one that will get spending under control and gets our budget back to balance within ten years.

Politico breaking news story

HUGE BREAKING NEWS: Politico just reported that today, Karl Rove's Crossroads group will launch “their biggest paid media push of 2012”—$X million into ten Presidential and Senate battlegrounds.

With 35 days to go, this is the Republicans' last stand. But the fact is, this is enough money to win them the White House and Senate if we can't respond. It is that significant.

Please rush $X immediately. Republicans are right now – today – trying to buy the White House and Senate. We absolutely can't keep pace unless you help us raise $X million by Friday.

This is being called “the deepest saturation from Crossroads yet.” Either we raise enough money to fend this off and win, or we don't and Republicans flip the tables for a comeback victory.

Give $X here to fend this off immediately [url]

Let's win. Guy Cecil
