Obama - Biden --

President Obama says his faith has informed how he lives his life as a husband, a father, and as president. In his own words: "My faith helps me to keep my eyes on the prize and focus on what is good and truly important."

As a young man, he worked with a group of churches in Chicago to help families left struggling after local steel plants shut down. And as candidate for president in 2007, he declared that "people are coming together around a simple truth -- that we are all connected, that I am my brother's keeper; I am my sister's keeper." President Obama's record, from passing Obamacare to saving the auto industry, reflects that belief.

Faith is as central to President Obama's life as it is to the story of this nation, and people of faith will be crucial to his re-election.

our moral obligation to one another is our nation's strength. It is his faith that tells him: There is something about this world that ties our interest to the well-being of a child who can't get the health care they need, or a parent who can't find work after the plant closed down, or a family going hungry.

He also understands that American families won't thrive if we don't have an economy that works for them. As president, he has worked to provide economic security for families, creating more than four and a half million new jobs in the last two and a half years, and he passed Obamacare, extending access to affordable health care to millions of Americans.

We know that America needs a president who leads with values -- a leader who will continue to strengthen families and lift up the good works motivated by faith. President Obama is that leader.

But he needs four more years to finish the job. And with 50 days to go, we have to get to work now. That's why we're organizing the faith community to support the President and allow him to finish the work he's started. One person reaching out to another is what's going to win this election.
