- This is revolting. Missouri Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin just said pregnancy from rape is "really rare" because, "if it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."

We must keep Akin out of the US Senate. His repulsive views are only a preview of the dangerous policies we'd see from him in the Senate—and right now polls show him in the lead.

Thanks for standing with us, Sen. Patty Murray

P.S.: This statement is not an isolated incident. Akin co-sponsored a bill that would redefine rape in an effort to deny victims access to health care. He also questioned whether an anti-rape law would be used by women “in a real messy divorce as tool and a legal weapon to beat up on the husband.” Please help stop him right now with a contribution of $X.

Yesterday Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin said victims of “legitimate” rape can't get pregnant because “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”

Polls show him in the lead, and today he vowed, “he's in it to win it.” You can't let his disgusting beliefs win this race.

Please, we need you to click here to contribute $X right now to keep the revolting Akin Agenda out of the White House and Senate.
