Twice as much fun on Saturday in Portland

Next weekend, we'll be 100 days away from Election Day.
We've got a lot of voters to get ready for this election -- and that's part of why First Lady Michelle Obama just launched a new effort called It Takes One.
The idea behind it is pretty simple: One person reaching out to another, bringing in one person at a time, is what will make all the difference. She's challenging us all to bring one new person along every time we take action for this campaign -- whether that's chipping in a few dollars, registering to vote, or showing up at the It Takes One weekend of action in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 28th, and Sunday, July 29th.
Folks from Connecticut will be making calls or traveling to New Hampshire and Pennsylvania for the weekend of action to reach out to folks there to talk about President Obama's accomplishments -- alongside that one new person they asked to join them for the day.
Can you go -- and bring someone else along?

One hundred days isn't a lot of time. But if you can make it out this weekend, and your friend can, too, you'll be able to reach twice as many people in these key battleground states.
Those people you reach are going to bring in others, who'll bring in others -- and it's going to keep getting bigger from there. With all those new people stepping up, the organizing we've got to do over these next 100 days will be many times easier.
That's how this organization has always worked -- and at this special weekend of action, we'll get to see that idea directly in action, in a whole new way.
So RSVP now -- and start thinking about who you're going to bring:

This weekend of action is inspired by First Lady Michelle Obama's new effort called It Takes One. She's asking us to bring one new person into this organization each time we take action -- when we show up at a volunteer event, when we donate a few dollars to help grow the campaign, or when we commit to making it out to the polls.
Maybe that person you bring along will be your best friend, your sister, or one of your parents. Maybe it's someone you know from school or work, who has told you they're interested in doing something big to help move our work along.
Whoever you bring, you'll both be reaching out to voters -- helping them get registered to vote and having conversations with them about who they'll be casting their ballot for this fall. It'll be great work to do as a team with the person who comes along, and we'll set you both up with a training beforehand so you're all ready when you head out for your shift.
The best part -- you'll be able to do twice as much, and have twice as much fun doing it together.
So sign up now for the It Takes One weekend of action event on Saturday:
