Patient Pathways Through This ER

After a patient arrives at the emergency room, they are typically seen by a doctor and then either sent home or admitted to the hospital and taken to a room. A small percentage of patients leave without being seen at all. The chart below shows on average how long each of these pathways take. Lower numbers are better, and all times refer to the average length of time people waited. Find out more »

Detailed Quality Measures

Here is a more in depth look at each quality measure, compared to state and national averages for hospitals with medium volumes. Experts caution that very small differences between hospitals for a given measure are unlikely to correspond to noticeable differences in the real world.

Notes: "Average time" refers to the median waiting time (the midpoint of all patients' waiting times). References to "doctor" indicate a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant. CMS reports the CT scan quality measure as the percentage of patients who received a scan within 45 minutes. We have reversed that measure so that all measures follow a "lower is better" pattern.

At 10:30 tonight (April 30th 2015) I had to go to thebe.r because of horrible painful constant back pain, upon arriving and being showed to my room the first rn was very rude, he didn't want to listen to why I was there and beyond disrespdisrespectful. When E.R Dr on call (DR PERSON) came into my room to get my case coming up there and medical history, he cut m off numerous of times, he pressed on my back where my pain was said he was going to give me pain medicine then & a few scripts I would need, then proceeded to leave the room without asking if me or my husband had any questions or conerns. Maybe 5 minutes later two RN nurses come in the shots I would need, my husband went to use the bathroom was gone no longer than minutes, I am terrified of needles and wanted to wait for him do I could hold his hand and him comfort me, after I asked if they could wait for him, they had the most angry look upon their face, went to leave my room then turned around and said Welp I guess you wait for your pain medicine. When they returned to give me my shots, my husband wanted to know if thengloves and bandages they were using were latex because I am allergic, the male RN says yes, and gives both of us a disgusting, angry, and annoyed look. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE MUCH LESS A STAFF DISRESPECT & BE VERY RUDE WITH THIER PAITENTS WHO IS IN HORRIFIC PAIN, WITH SUCH UNPROFESINALWAYS. THEIR JOBS ARE TO EXAM, CARE FOR, AND HELP THE SAID PAITENT IN PAIN. ME NOR MY HUSBAND OR TWO DAUGHTERS EVER STEP FOR INTO STRINGFELLOW HOSPITAL AGAIN, & I WILL HIGHLY recomend my family friends or anyone visiting an e.r TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM STRINGFELLOW BEINGS OF THE MANNER I WAS TREATED. I WILL BE CONTACTING THEM IN THE MORNing as well to make the same complaint.
