Senate Voting Records
Senators can file vote explanations in the Record, but very few do. Voting attendance in the Senate, like the House, is routinely very high, with the exception of some senators who run for other offices. This year, four senators (Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham and Rand Paul) are running for the Republican presidential nomination. A fifth, David Vitter, is running to be Louisiana’s governor. The figures here represent Senate votes only, not any previous House service.
This database was last updated in November 2015 and should only be used as a historical snapshot.
