New York Times (Chinese)

Today's Status:

The New York Times launched a Chinese-language site in June 2012, featuring a mix of original reporting and translated versions of stories from the U.S. and International New York Times. It has been blocked since October 2012, when the Times published a story about the wealth of then-Premier Wen Jiabao's family. Every day, ProPublica tests to see if the homepages of international news organizations are available to browsers inside China. To test, we use GreatFire.org, a censorship monitoring service inside China that launched in 2011. See test results for other sites »
