PRIORITIES USA ACTION

Created in April 2011 by two former Obama White House aides: Bill Burton, the former deputy press secretary, and Sean Sweeney, the former senior adviser to Obama's first chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel. This group, along with its sister organization, Priorities USA, was formed specifically as a Democratic answer to the American Crossroads super PAC and its sister group, Crossroads GPS. Much of the Priorities USA Action PAC's initial money came from film producer Jeffrey Katzenberg. Together with Priorities USA, the super PAC hopes to raise $100 million to back Barack Obama's re-election.
