Issue:
A nursing student left a notebook in the elevator lobby on a patient floor, with her computer username and password and notes taken on 3 patients that included names and vital signs. The notebook was found by an employee who turned it into Nursing Education. The user account has been disabled and her instructor was notified that the student will have to report to the Information Security Officer as soon as possible. Log in stats show that the student logged in the system this morning approximately 30 minutes before the notebook was discovered. Update: 05/16/12:Three patients will be sent a notification letter.

Student reminded of the importance of safeguarding PII.
