Issue:

A Veteran employee reported that he thought some of his coworkers might have accessed his electronic medical record. He asked that a sensitive record report be run so that he could review. The report was provided to the employee on 7/26/11. After reviewing the report the employee reported to his supervisor that the report showed that two of his coworkers had accessed his medical record in 2010 and early 2011. The supervisor confirmed that it would not have been in the performance of the two employees' duties to have accessed the individual's record. Update: 07/26/11:The Veteran/Employee will be sent a letter offering credit protection services, due to full SSN being exposed.

Outcome:

Employee's CPRS access has been removed and awaiting final disciplinary action to be taken.
