Issue:
A deceased Veteran's medical records were requested by a family member. The records were requested back from the Federal Record Center. The tracking number shows the records were delivered to the VA however, no one can find the records. We searched each department. No records found. Update: 12/11/12:The Veteran's next-of-kin will be sent a notiification letter.
Outcome:
The process was changed to a centralized pickup and drop off for package being delivered and picked up.
