Our Information Security Officer (ISO) was walking through the parking lot and found a pink sheet of paper with the last name, first name, and last 4 digits of the SSN of a Veteran. It is unknown if the Veteran himself may have dropped it or an employee dropped it. It appears Veteran was at the facility yesterday for a medical appointment.
Outcome:
05/27/15: The Incident Resolution Service Team has determined that the incident has a low probability of a risk of compromise due to the location of the item found and the fact that it was found by VA employee.
