Update: 01/17/12:The 22 inpatients will receive a letter offering credit protection services.

Outcome:

A interdisciplinary team was convened to address how to handle the care plan binders and the electronic database, Accu Care. The team will continue to address how to update both the hardcopy and the electronic version of the care plan. While a consensus and approval is determined, the nurse managers were educated on the safeguard of sensitive information, to include how to safeguard the care plan binders and have accountability for the binder throughout all shifts.
