Issue:

Received an email from an employee with the VA Health Resource Center (HRC) who said a citizen notified her that she was receiving mail from the VA for a Veteran who use to live next door to her. Said she had been receiving correspondence for the past five years and had tried calling previously but continues to receive mail. She most recently received a mailing from the Department of Treasury Financial Management Service concerning a "federal debt." This facility is listed as the government agency collecting the debt. Update: 09/27/11:Veteran A will be sent a notification letter.

Outcome:

In the documentation provided by the individual who received the mail she states that the Veteran was aware before he moved that some of his mail was coming to her address and he needed make the appropriate notifications of an incorrect address and he never did. However the local CPAC manager has been notified about the incorrect address and asked to notify the Treasury Department.
