Issue:
Employee A called the Privacy Officer (PO) and advised that her privacy had been violated. She was contacted by Employee B (same names) and told that Employee B had received a notice that information had been added to her Personnel Folder. When she opened the link, she found that the information actually belonged to Employee A. The information included all of her TSP information plus other documents. Employee A stated this was not an isolated incident, it had happened before. Update: 06/06/12:Employee A will be sent a letter offering credit protection services.
Outcome:
HR reviewed both folders and failed to find any misfiled documents.
