Employee accessed her husband's Vista record and changed his next of kin. Update: 01/21/11:Veteran will receive a letter of notification.
Outcome:
No privacy violation was found, because the employee was working within her job duties. She performed a function she would on a regular basis. I provided education to the employee and told them in the future they should ask another employee to perform the job function. All reports of contact were sent to HR.
