PROCEDURE FOR MONITORING GRANTS IN THE U.S.: PART I, LINE 2: SCHEDULE I, PART I, LINE 2: FINANCIAL INFORMATION REQUIRED FROM SCHOLARS: CSS PROFILE, SAR FROM FAFSA FINANCIAL AWARD LETTER FROM UNIVERSITY STATING GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, LOANS, WORKSTUDY, ETC. COST OF ATTENDANCE IS GATHERED FROM THE COLLEGEBOARD LISTINGS ON THEIR SITE. NO COSTS FOR SEMESTERS ABROAD ARE INCLUDED IN OUR FORMULA FOR THE COST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. AFTER FINANCIAL NEED HAS BEEN DETERMINED AWARDS ARE ISSUED BASED ON A SCHEDULE OF AWARDS BY UNMET NEED, THIS SCHEDULE IS DETERMINED BY THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE AND REVIEWED EACH YEAR. OUIMET SCHOLARS ARE FINANCIAL AWARD RECIPIENTS WHO HAVE GONE THROUGH A RIGOROUS REVIEW AND INTERVIEW PROCESS, HAVE QUALIFIED, AND HAVE CERTIFIED FINANCIAL NEED. OUIMET HONORARY SCHOLARS HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SAME RIGOROUS INTERVIEW PROCESS, HAVE QUALIFIED, AND ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT QUALIFY TO RECEIVE ANY FINANCIAL AWARD, THEIR DESIGNATION AS A OUIMET SCHOLAR IS A GREAT HONOR AND HELPS THEM TAP INTO THE VAST NETWORK OF FELLOW OUIMET SCHOLARS CURRENTLY IN THE WORK FORCE. CHECKS ARE THEN ISSUED IN SEPTEMBER FOR 40% OF TOTAL AWARD. SENT OUT WITH AWARD LETTERS AND CHECKS IS AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM WHICH STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN, UPDATE ANY PERSONAL INFO AND RETURN TO THE FUND. BEFORE THE SECOND PORTION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE RELEASED TO THE STUDENT THEY MUST HAVE THEIR FALL TRANSCRIPT SUBMITTED FROM THEIR SCHOOL. THIS IS TO INSURE THAT SCHOLARS MEET OUR REQUIREMENT THAT THEY ARE FULL TIME SCHOLARS AND THAT THEY MAINTAIN A MINIMAL 2.0 GPA.
