This allows for competition in the form of scrimmage games and man advantage situations. It is less formal than a game and gives the coaches more control to stop play and give instruction. This type of common training often involves travel out of the county or state, and as far as Europe where the most competitive amateur water polo is played. This year, a team of 18 players, 3 coaches and 1 parent/physician traveled to Hungary and Spain for 2 weeks for common training with various European water polo clubs.
