Procedure for Monitoring Grants in the U.S.: Part I, Line 2: Schedule I, Part I, Line 2: Grant expenditures are tracked with unique expenditure codes for each grant. Purchase orders signed by the granter and the agency are required for all purchases. Grants are awarded by the PPLC Board of Directors annually by formal motion at a regularly scheduled board meeting. Granters are notified in writing of the amount of the award and the procedures for utilizing the funds. Expenditures are tracked and unexpended funds are returned to the agency for issuance in the future to new projects. All expenditures are included in the annual audit conducted by an independent auditor. Eligibility requirements are included in the agencies policy manual.
