THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES CONDUCTS A PERFORMANCE REVIEW WITH THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AFTER SIX MONTHS AND TWELVE MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT AND ANNUALLY THEREAFTER. SALARY RECOMMENDATION IS THEN DETERMINED BY THE COMMITTEE BASED ON INFORMATION FROM SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS WITH COMPARABLE POSITIONS IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA, EMPLOYMENT MARKET CONDITIONS, AND JOB PERFORMANCE REVIEW. THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATION IS PRESENTED TO THE BOARD FOR APPROVAL. NO OTHER STAFF MEMBERS MEET THE IRS DEFINITION OF KEY EMPLOYEE: HOWEVER, THE COMPENSATION PROCESS FOLLOWS: THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HIRING, SUPERVISION, AND RELEASE OF ALL STAFF MEMBERS AND FOR DIRECTING THEIR WORK. THE DIRECTOR CONDUCTS PERFORMANCE REVIEWS WITH STAFF MEMBERS AFTER SIX MONTHS AND TWELVE MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT AND ANNUALLY THEREAFTER. SALARIES ARE THEN DETERMINED BY THE DIRECTOR BASED ON THE SAME CRITERIA DESCRIBED ABOVE. |
