PART I, LINE 2: PER DONOR RESTRICTIONS, FUNDS FOR THE CONTINUED OPERATIONS, PROGRAMMING, AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SCIOTO MILE PARK FUNDED AN ENDOWMENT. ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, THE CITY OF COLUMBUS SUBMITS A GRANT APPLICATION, WHICH MUST BE APPROVED BY THE BOARD. ONCE APPROVED, THE CITY OF COLUMBUS MUST SEND A REQUEST TO COLUMBUS DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT THAT FUNDS BE DISBURSED ACCORDING TO THE GRANT APPLICATION. OTHER GRANTS ARE SPORADIC AND ARE MADE TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE WORK IS MONITORED THROUGH NORMAL BUSINESS WITH THESE PARTNERS.
