If range in data is varied, then a call to similar nonprofit ministries is made. The salaries are approved by independent board (President), or Executive committee (key employees) and are documented in the minutes. |

Overhead percentages, although acceptable, reflect only Medical Ambassadors International's actual financial expenditures. Since most of our field work is done by volunteers, MAI financial impact on the local communities is many times (perhaps hundreds of times) greater than our expenditures suggest. |
