Return Reference Explanation
Grantmaker's Description of How Grants are Used During the application process, charities are chosen by the Committees for the sporting clays tournament and dinner dance. During the review process, dollar amounts are voted on and approved by the board. Student scholarships are awarded to candidates at state-wide universities whos grades are in good standing with their respective university. Other criteria set by the IADC Houston Chapter board of directors may include: level of financial need, internships within the industry and participation in student organizations related to the industry. Each year the candidates are interviewed by the Chapter Scholarship Chairman, then approved by Chapter BOD.
