JCU has established a Conflict of Interest policy which has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Trustees. While JCU's Board of Trustees is not currently required to sign an annual statement that they are free from conflicts of interest, as part of their position on the Board they are expected to disclose to the university and the remainder of the Board participation in any activities or circumstances that may present a conflict of interest as soon as they become aware of it. JCU does not make its governing documents, conflict of interest policy or financial statements available to the public. The salary of the President has been decided by a Board Commitee. The salary of the Directors and key employees is decided by the President. The company philosophy is to match the market on average pay, identifying the median.
Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 The difference of USD (3,455,949) in change in net assets is due to the EUR recalculation of the assets at the June 30 2015 exchange rate.
