OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Violence Free Zone is a collaborative between The Center for Neighborhood Enterprise, Milwaukee Public Schools, and Running Rebels Community Organization.The goals of this initiative are to reduce disruptive and violent incidents with selected Milwaukee Public High Schools and their surrounding communities. This initiative has been successful in reducing suspensions and class disruptions allowing the classrooms to become safer and more conducive environments for learning. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Recreational and Athletics Program the goal of this program is to provide a variety of services for youth within our programs and the community. These services include providing a safe place for youth to engage in recreational activities, structured and team building activities such as basketball and football leagues, and a variety of tutoring opportunity to assist youth educationally . OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Entrepreneurial The goal of this program is to assist youth in learning life skills that will help them become productive members of the community. Youth have the opportunity to apprentice in the following areas: lawn care and snow removal, move jobs, catering and food service, limited demolition and construction work. The youth have the ability to learn a trade and create income for themselves. |
