THE AKF TRUSTEES HAVE TASKED THE AKF AUDIT COMMITTEE WITH THE DETAILED REVIEW OF THE FORM 990 PRIOR TO ITS FILING. THE AKF AUDIT COMMITTEE THEN PROVIDES PROVISIONAL APPROVAL TO THE 990. THE AUDIT COMMITTEE REVIEWED 990 IS THEN PROVIDED TO THE FULL BOARD FOR FINAL REVIEW BEFORE IT IS FILED WITH THE IRS. |

THE AKF TRUSTEES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A CONFLICT OF INTEREST FORM ANNUALLY AT THE AKF SPRING BOARD MEETING. THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST FORM REQUIRES THE TRUSTEE TO ACKNOWLEDGE READING AND UNDERSTANDING AKF'S CONFLICT OF INTEREST STATEMENT AND THE TRUSTEE MUST AFFIRMATIVELY NOTE ON FOUR SPECIFIC QUESTIONS REGARDING POTENTIAL CONFLICTS OF INTEREST. IF NONE EXIST, THE FORM MUST STILL BE COMPLETED AND NOTES MADE THAT NO CONFLICTS OF INTEREST EXIST. AKF COMPLETED ITS LATEST INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS WITH A REPORT DATED 2/23/2015. FINALLY, BY THE 1ST QUARTER OF EACH YEAR THE AKF INDEPENDENT EXECUTIVE EVALUATION AND COMPENSATION COMMITTEE DOCUMENTS CONTEMPERANEOUSLY THE SALARY AND BONUS DECISIONS FOR OFFICER COMPENSATION ENSURING THAT IS COMPARED TO THE INDEPENDENT SALARY REVIEW. THE AMERICAN KIDNEY FUND AWARDS BONUSES TO ITS EXECUTIVE TEAM EMPLOYEES BASED UPON MEETING PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES AS OUTLINE IN AN EXECUTIVE INCENTIVE PLAN (EIP).
