PART I, LINE 2: NATIONAL SOCIETY DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (NSDAR) AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFIED APPLICANTS. APPLICANTS MUST BE UNITED STATES CITIZENS AND MUST ATTEND AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY IN THE UNITED STATES. THE APPLICATION PROCESS IS CONDUCTED WITHOUT REGARD TO RACE, SEX, RELIGION, OR NATIONAL ORIGIN. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED BY THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE BASED ON ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, COMMITMENT TO FIELD OF STUDY (AS REQUIRED), AND NEED. THE SPECIAL PROJECTS GRANTS COMMITTEE MONITORS THE USE OF NSDAR GRANT FUNDS BASED ON THE TERMS OF A GRANT AGREEMENT SIGNED BY THE GRANTEE ORGANIZATION. A FINAL WRITTEN REPORT MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN, INCLUDING PHOTOS OF THE PROJECT AND A COMPLETE FINANCIAL REPORT OF PROJECT EXPENDITURES, BEFORE THE SECOND HALF OF THE GRANT FUNDING IS RELEASED. FOR PROJECTS TAKING LONGER THAN SIX MONTHS TO COMPLETE, THE GRANTEE ORGANIZATION MUST SUBMIT A STATUS REPORT, INCLUDING THE PROJECT TIMELINE AND PHOTOS OF THE PROJECT PROGRESS. NSDAR MUST AUTHORIZE ANY PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL PROJECT IN ADVANCE. NSDAR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EXERCISE OVERSIGHT INCLUDING STATUS CALLS, INTERIM PROGRESS REPORTS, AND REVIEW OF FILES AND RECORDS.
